If you're one of those people who's been in Hong Kong all too long and getting sick of the same old bar and clubbing scene of mainstream Lan Kwai Fong and looking for something new, well you don't need to go too far to find it because Beirut could well be what you're looking for. Located right in the midst of D'Aguilar Street on your right hand side as you walk up that steep road, you will be able to find a Lebanese restaurant and bar with authentic decor and cuisine.

Beirut is split into 2 floors, comfortably lit with an orange coloured theme. The hanging lamps and mosaic scattered around the venue with subtle Middle Eastern music in the background help create the atmosphere which you can lose yourself in and retire away from Hong Kong's energy draining lifestyle for just a while. Downstairs is where the bar is and this is where local punters reside for their daily drinks after work where they can also look out onto the street. Upstairs is the lounge area where the main dining goes on. More comfortable and intimate!

Loads of things to try here including the chicken liver, Beirut kalaj, kibbeh shameyich and all the other more familiar food such as falafel, hummus with pita bread. Recommended for casual and laid back dinners or when you want to retreat from the heavy music and drinking scene.
