La Bodega

One of the best bars in Lan Kwai Fong of choice for Spanish and Latin people of Hong Kong

La Bodega is one of those bars in the city which seems to have been there for donkey years, surviving the financial turmoils that seemingly always hits Hong Kong's economy bad. It's still doing very well for itself and we know that because it has recently undergone refurbishment. I'm not talking about a splash of paint or replacing worn out own furnishings, but a complete makeover from the original Spanish reds that has had better days to slick, contemporary, plain blacks. Tall tables and stools fill the venue and at the end is the fancy bricked up bar.

Wine is popular here since they stock a lot of imports from Spain. And no Spanish bar is complete if they don't serve Sangria and mojitos which La Bodega serves ever so tastily. Sangrias are one of those drinks that can turn me into an alcoholic. There is also a wine cellar at the back.

They serve very clean food aswell. I know that because I can look into the kitchen and see the chefs preparing my tapas, fajitas and tortillas. Strictly no picking of their noses. Very hygienic.
