Peak Cafe Bar

Take a step back into Hong Kong's historic British colonial times for a drink or a bite to eat at the Peak Cafe Bar

As you take a relaxing ride up the city's famous escalators from Central up to Soho's nightlife area, you will pass by what should be Hong Kong's oldest looking bar and cafe on a steep slope. With open wooden patio doors, you are able to fully see and appreciate the Victorian design that the Peak Cafe Bar is decorated in. Split into 2 parts, the right side is the little bistro area serving food such as Peak Bar mezze plate, the snack combo or the more Asian counterpart, the Thai snack combo. After which, you can try some of their desserts which you can choose from their delicatessen glass counter. True British style. Choose to sit in their intimate little booths with curtain decoration or on the main floor with antique table and chairs in dark wood.

On the left hand side of the Peak Cafe Bar is the main drinking area with a bar that has plenty of historic characteristics, high stools around it and low tables and chairs lining up the left wall. On the walls are long mirrors with painted decorations and a few old paintings fill in the gaps. All very authentic and antiquey. Standard drinks are available by the bottle, glass or pint. Some house specials are available for wines and cocktails. Very popular with tourists and expats of the city.

Board games are available for the playing to get your brains functioning. Chess, Chinese Chess, Master Mind, Upword, Life Style, Quarto, Quixo, Cross Four and Pentago are up for grabs, but please return them mind!

Always crowded with expats during the evenings which makes it a great place for meeting and networking. And it just so happens that it's conveniently located next to Pure gym in Soho. I like it!
