Varga LoungeA shrine bar in Soho opened by Kenneth Howe in celebration of the notoriously famous 1950's beach girls pin-upsBeachy girls, cocktails, oversized posh sofas, is what I immediately got as I walked into Varga Lounge, a uniquely themed bar lounge in Soho Hong Kong. Bringing a mix of internationalism from France and the States by designing the two floors with their respective countries in mind, boudoir, Chinoiserie for France and a flashy Vegas bachelor's pad for America. Take your pick! Inspiring artwork by Alberto Vargas and Gil Elvgren fill this venue in style and you'll find yourself with a clear and close view of one of these pictures wherever you are in the bar. Admire them as you sip at your Poultry Puss cocktail or on one of the latest craze in drinking, balsamic vinegar beverages. Yes, strange but strangely drinkable and I bet you'll want a second helping. Add to this some of their old-school lounge music and you're in for a good ole time.
