Salon de Ning

Audacious 1930's Shanghai decor of East meets West bar and lounge placing Salon de Ning as one of the must visit bars in Hong Kong.

Located in The Peninsula Hotel lies a hip and glamorous clubbing lounge and bar with extravagant designs and crops littered throughout the venue in a way that is no less that super-sophisticated. Massive glam sofa seats, cushions and foot rests surround the tables and sideboards, designer lamps and portraits completes this unique design.

Aside from all this visually enchanting treat that you get when you enter Salon de Ning, it is somehow spoilt by the presence of a live band. Nothing wrong with the quality of their disco music from the 70's to the 90's but I would've preferred a more toned down, subtle-like soulful groove tunes. Anyway, after a couple of their house cocktails such as the Ning Sling or Salon de Ning Rose, you'll be singing along with the band.

There is a dress code that you should follow before entering such an upclass venue though. Sandals, shorts and beach shirts are definitely a no no. Just tidy up yourself a little bit and you will be fine.
