The Doghouse

Smack bang in the middle of Wan Chai's nightlife district is a new 2009 bar, a welcome change to the usual stripper nightclubs in around the area.

Owned by Paul Buxton of Top Solutions Development, better know for his massively popular Bulldog’s Bar & Grill and also Quarterdeck Seafood Restaurant & Grill outlets around Hong Kong which I am sure you've been to one or the other if you've been here in the city for more than a fortnight.

The Doghouse follows the tradition of Bulldog's but only as far as it's name goes. The theme of this bar is all about dogs. When you walk in to this bar, it's like you've been miniaturised and stepped into a massive kennel. At the very back you will see a giant dog's head stuck on the wall and everywhere else, you will find woof woof memorabilia. With plenty of drinks to choose from their menu including beers, wines, spirits, shooters, cocktails and everything else you might want to drink on a nightout. Try their specials such as the Chihuahau, Pit Bull, Hound Dog and the list goes on and on. Food and snacks is also available for the order. The house DJ sits in his corner pumping out popular and well-known beats from the US and the UK and you can rest your eyes on one of the 6 large plasmas around the venue if you need to exercise your eyes a little.

The Doghouse's motto is “Everybody’s been there” so you better get yourself down to Wan Chai and join the crowd and give Lan Kwai Fong a miss for a change.
